I have issues with my camera when I use the flash the led is so bright that it whites the faces out of people in pictures. I know this happens in more than my EVO because I have had 4 new or refurbished phones. I have had so many issues yet still love the EVO so much and between that and the contract I am stuck like a couple that fights all of the time.... I am just waiting for the next best thing to come along and I don't think it is the iphone4, sorry Verizon and AT&T...

Thanks Adam for the comments!

With the fully updated Profile and PRL's, phone functionality is back to rock-solid Sprint CDMA. That gets me back to happy.

Since I've been careful not to download applications at random and am only using "known good" apps, the phone has not-yet done a reboot that wasn't intentional.

For network, Hotspot and Tethering have been great!

I'm actually very satisfied with the EVO now... except for the power draw.

I am going to write the ultimate response to your posting because I am in the exact same boat as you and I have been an iphone user since the iphone 3g came out. I also ordered the evo from sprint for the friday launch, i actually preordered at best buy and i waited with wild anticipation for the day to come. I went at 930am and picked up the phone, it took about 45 mins to activate and I have the 99.99 unlimited w/ wifi hotspot (the total for this plan after tax is apparently $153). This was pretty much how much my iphone 3g bill was with rollover minutes and unlimited data. I feel like I am getting so much more with the evo at the same price. In your experience with the evo you said you were having dropped calls all the time and you felt like an att/iphone user. I have NOT experienced a single dropped call with sprint yet and i am in NYC. The only thing i have noticed is that rarely i get a bad connection and the voice is clicky but this is less than 10% of the time. This is dramatically better than the iphone, i would literally drop 75% of my iphone calls in nyc, it was infuriating, As far as the rebooting goes mine has rebooted at least once every other day and its usually from the phone freezing, i have no idea why the phone is freezing. The way yours is rebooting all the time i would bring it back and get a new one, you may have a dud. The hotspot feature works great and is easy, android is fun too with the widgets and live wallpapers, and I am happier overall with my evo than i am my iphone. The only issues I have is the battery just like everyone else. I have been able to get an entire day out of my evo if i am not constantly using it but thats the whole point of having it. If I use it constantly throughout the day to talk, gchat, email, surf the web, and use maps i can get 7 to 8 hours of it. I wish it was longer but my iphone needed to be charged every night and I am always around a charger every 8 hours so this isnt a deal breaker yet. I guess if you can be around a charger every 8 hours or so the evo is amazing, if you go on 12 hour field trips and calling is important to you, you might want to consider getting a prepaid phone. The battery on those last a week. :)

This review is making me not reconsider my decision to buy an iPhone 4 at launch. Battery life is pretty crucial for me...need to go at least 12 hours between charges. :( I really want an Android phone but could do without the short battery life and dropped calls.
